I have been an advocate of natural, organic skincare for many years. Over the past decade we have seen an explosion of fantastic new products and brands introduced to the skincare market. People and companies are embracing natural, organic powerful ingredients. Creating outstanding products, with amazing results, minus the chemicals.
Many of the ‘high end’ products we see in the shops claim to be natural. Clever packaging and advertising campaigns portray plant based ‘natural’ ingredients. Products will contain natural elements but these will be combined with an array of additional unnatural chemicals to help preserve the product, to give it a longer shelf life.
Take a deeper look at the ingredients in your skincare products see if you can spot any of these potentially toxic chemicals and preservatives: Phthalates, parabens, artificial fragrance/parfum, Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Lauretha Sulphate.

Skin perfection and natural organic skin care
I had been planning on replacing our company’s skincare brand for quite some time. Through the lockdowns, I took the opportunity to research and trial organic beauty products suppliers from across the UK. Myself and my team of skincare therapists have tried and tested 12 separate brands in the past 12 months to find a brand that ticks as many boxes as possible.

Emergency Skin First Aid
Recently, I mistakenly used a year out of date toner on my face. Big mistake!
My skin immediately reacted and I felt an intense burning sensation. I washed my face with just cool water and removed the product. I used the sap of my emergency aloe vera plant to help calm my skin. I applied rosehip seed oil, with a couple of drops of chamomile essential oil, which is my go to for skin reactions and it usually does the trick.
After 24 hours, my skin still felt sore with a red swollen appearance and was now starting to flake. I knew my skin needed further protection and nourishment. I delved into my new Evolve skincare collection and decided to try their Gentle Cleansing Melt. I applied a thick layer of the balm over the affected area and left it for a few hours. I could feel the heat and soreness reducing as the hours passed. I decided to apply again and leave overnight.
To my absolute delight, my skin completely absorbed the balm the soreness was gone and the flaking had reduced dramatically. An absolute success!
This product is incredibly versatile. Not only is it a fantastic cleanser, it soothes sore, chapped skin. I would recommend this to anyone with sensitive skin.
