Bridal make up trends 2019
Are you getting hitched this year? Looking for a little inspiration for your bridal make up?
Our in house make up artist Georgina, is on hand to help you choose the right look, for you.
Last year 2018 saw not one but two Royal weddings. Both brides went for elegant, classic dresses and naturally inspired make up and this has certainly set a precedent for 2019.
If you have chosen your perfect dress, your venue and caterers but are stuck with where to start with your make up for your big day here are a selection of our favourite trends for the year ahead to get you inspired:
Base: 2019 is about luminous healthy skin and that natural glow (with a bit of extra help!) Forget pressed powder and a matte finish it’s all about that romantic dewy finish. Achieve this with shimmery highlighters, illuminating primers and sheer foundations.
Eyes: Bronze lids are on trend in 2019. Matt browns or metallic bronze. This look will compliment any bride. Think understated smoky – more subtle than previous charcoal tones. A versatile colour palette that can be used in different ways. You can go full on metallic or for a more modest neutral muted brown depending on the look you want. Both will be on trend.
If bronze isn’t for you, why not try a subtle feminine pink with a touch of shimmer.
Lashes: Strip lashes or individual lashes, a bit of extra help will enhance any look. They can be as natural or as big as you desire. But a little lash help goes a long way!
Winged liner: Winged liner always adds a bit of sexy to any look. Think Bridget Bardot! Whether you go for a thick black statement wing or subtle romantic flick, it’s a simple way to add a little something extra.
Eyebrows: These are all about being bold (but not too bold!), groomed and immaculately shaped. Your eyebrows can change your entire makeup look so don’t shun them as an afterthought make them an important part of your wedding day look.
Lips: Again lips are all about that bit of extra sparkle this year. Think Satin lipstick over matte and shimmery lip gloss with that touch of glittery magic. (Extra bride points if you match your lip shade to that on your cheeks!)
Or why not go bold! If you have stuck to a natural dewy look for your base and eyes why not make a statement with your lips. Berry shades look stunning with a natural palette to add that wow factor! If you feel it is too much for during the day but want to sass up your evening look why not take an extra lipstick to slick on before the evening guests arrive.
Handy tip! Always buy a lipstick to top up on the day even if you’re having your makeup done professionally.
